Job Summary

Provide prompt and courteous teller support to all current and prospective clients.

 

Detailed Description:

  • A premium rate will be offered based on downtown location
  • Provide excellent customer service by receiving deposits, cashing checks and government bonds, making withdrawals and loan payments, etc.
  •  Develop strong customer relationships and learn to recognize customer needs.
  • Balance cash fund  daily. Complete over/short adjustments and send totals to appropriate department.
  • Process various payments and sell official instruments, including cashier's checks.
  • Attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy ETC)
  • Integrity,  discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.

  

Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent; one plus years of retail branch experience. Strong knowledge

of competition and product knowledge needed. Teller machine and calculator experience desired. FISERV Premier knowledge a plus.

 

Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills are required. Ability to answer general customer questions as well as sell bank products and services. Excellent communication skills needed to identify customer needs and explain bank brochures and other bank literature. Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude in any situation.

 

Physical Demands

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger/handle or feel.  The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting.
