Intent of Position

The intent of this position is to provide support to the Chief Appraiser of Green Bank, N.A. The position is part of the Credit Department under the Division of REVS (Real Estate Valuation Services). The REVS Division is responsible for all Real Estate Appraisal, Environmental Assessment, Equipment Appraisal, and Business Valuation Services required in the credit making decision process of underwriting collateral for lending purposes. This position will focus on the Commercial Appraisal Requests made by Green Bank, N.A. lending staff to include Commercial Real Estate Appraisals, Equipment Appraisals and Business Valuations as directed by the Chief Appraiser.


Qualifications Required

• Four year College Degree with emphasis in Real Estate, Economics and Finance
• Three to five years of commercial appraisal experience
• Texas State General Certification or demonstrate strong knowledge of USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice)
• Three to five years of banking appraisal review experience and/or contract appraisal review experience.


Duties
1.0 Monitor Commercial Requests

 Monitor commercial real appraisal requests through RIMS
 Monitor equipment appraisal and business valuation requests submitted through Outlook
 Follow up with lenders for additional documentation required for all requests submitted
 Assist with continual training of lending staff on how to accurately describe collateral.
2.0 Bidding/ Engagement
 Review all assigned commercial real estate appraisal and or evaluation requests made through RIMS (assignments made by the Chief Appraiser)
 Submit all invoicing for vendor services to REVS Administrative Manager
 Manage commercial appraisal requests to include sending out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to appraisers and monitor for response (will use RIMS system for commercial real estate requests and Outlook for equipment and all other requests)
 Send notice of appraisal process results including anticipated fee and delivery date to lenders
 Track engagements with appraiser including sending out appropriate engagement documentation
 Maintain "Out Look" Calendar tracking for delivery dates of all requests made outside of RIMS system with notices to be sent to applicable lenders.
3.0 Review/ Analysis
 Review all assigned commercial real estate appraisal/evaluation requests made through RIMS (includes submitting appropriate review form to communicate compliance)
 Review all equipment and business valuation requests made through Outlook (includes submitting narrative review form to communicate compliance)
4.0 Procedures Documentation
 Assist Chief Appraiser in maintaining REVS Appraisal Procedures
 Assist Chief Appraiser with creation/maintaining REVS Operations Manuel.
5.0 Vendor Service Provider List
 Contribute feedback to the Chief Appraiser concerning the Commercial Appraisal and Equipment Appraisal Service Provider List
 Assist with regularly monitoring of approved vendor lists for compliance purposes to include checking current state certification status of approved appraisers.
6.0 Evaluation Process
 Assist Chief Appraiser with potential evaluation requests as allowed by FIRREA
 Conduct Internal Evaluations for Real Estate Renewal requests as directed by the Chief Appraiser.
